I have a lot of hobbies, perhaps too many. I often bring in my outside interests into the classroom and encourage students to do the same.

Camino de Santiago

I have completed all or portions of el camino on three separate occasions. During my most recent trip I made a documentary out of the music that I played with a friend along the way and interviews with fellow pilgrims.

Tour for Becky

I spent three summers riding solo across the country in honor of my late mother-in-law, who passed away from cancer. We raised almost $30K for a variety of worthy causes. Each day I made a VLOG on the road.

Woodworking and Making

Since I was a kid I have derived great pleasure from making things with my hands. I have full woodworking, printing, and engraving shops at home along with a music studio and a slew of tools.
