As we navigate the intricate tapestry of existence, we are constantly presented with choices, each a potential pathway to something extraordinary. This is a world where creativity knows no bounds, where the curious mind finds solace, and where the fearless heart discovers uncharted territories. It is a place where the pursuit of knowledge, the embrace of change, and the willingness to take risks are not mere options but essential ingredients for a life well-lived.

It integrates many of my core practices (cross disciplinary work, relevance,SEL, voice/choice, social justice, DEI) and believes and aligns with national standards. I made a MaFLA presentation on it in 2021.
City Stories: Podcast- Human Ecology and Public Health
In this class we ask the essential question of what makes a city a thriving, liveable, and sustainable place. By using both quantitative as well as qualitative methods we explore the impact of different social and environmental determinants of health. Students showed their understanding by contextualizing and synthesizing from the many experts that we visit and interview. The podcast is one means of evaluating and sharing our work. Useful Work
We have partnered with the Worcester Historical Museum and the Latino History Project to help do oral histories and transcribe them. We have now contributed a good many transcriptions and translations to the archive. This was a particularly memorable interview with Richie Gonzalez, a formerly unhoused person who because a crusader for the homeless, the incarcerated, and the addicted. It is incredibly difficult work, but amazing to tune the ear and expand our capacity to deal with different accents and idiomatic language.
